How to Fix Passcode Forget Issue with Kindle

If you are trying really hard to remember your Kindle Passcode and still unable to open your device, don't worry. You can easily get the access to your device. All you need to do is to perform a reset on your device.

 

Follow the steps to reset your Kindle device:

 

  1. Tap the Keyboard button to bring keys on your screen.

  2. In the Passcode field, type resetmykindle, and then, use the option Five-way controller and choose Done.

  3. Choose OK with the Five-way controller.

 

About resetting your Kindle device:

 

  • Reset it only when you want to access it again.

  • Reset it if you wish to delete all the downloaded content and register the device again.

  • If you have not saved all the content to the cloud services, ensure to create its back up by plugging into a computer via USB.

 

Kindle cannot be reset if the parental controls are set.

 

  1. Tap the menu button.

  2. Select settings

  3. Choose the option “ Reset to factory”

  4. Your device will turn OFF and ON automatically.

 

 

Important: When you reset your Kindle, it will delete all the content saved and downloaded on it.  Only the content saved to the cloud will remain available for later usage.
